For most electrical and lighting products, MoIAT accepts an IEC CB Scheme test report and certificate as the basis of conformity. If your applied-for models differ from those tested, a Product Identity Declaration (PID) is also needed. We confirm whether your existing CB reports are sufficient before you commit to re-testing.

Energy-efficiency-labelled (EESL) products — room air-conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, rotodynamic pumps and televisions — need an internal performance test report in addition to safety testing. Products of this type are generally certified through the ECAS RoHS route. In assessments we have carried out, alkaline water ionizers and hydrogen water generators required ECAS RoHS certification and did not trigger other UAE conformity regimes. Classification always depends on the specific product and its specification, so it should be confirmed before shipment rather than assumed.
