🧂

Our 5-Step Registration Process

We manage the entire process through the DM Food Safety portal — from initial product classification to certificate delivery.

STEP 01

Product Classification

We classify your product under the correct DM food category and risk level to determine the registration pathway and required documentation.

STEP 02

Label Review

We audit your label for DM compliance — bilingual Arabic-English requirements, mandatory declarations, font sizes, ingredient lists and allergen disclosure.

STEP 03

Documentation Build

We compile your technical file — lab reports, CoA, ingredient declarations, manufacturer details, and any required third-party test certificates.

STEP 04

Portal Submission

We submit through the DM Food Safety portal, manage clarification requests, respond to DM queries and track approval status on your behalf.

STEP 05

Certificate & Renewal

We deliver your registration certificate and set renewal reminders. We also manage product variation updates and new SKU additions.

Why Businesses Choose Us for DM Registration

DM Portal Specialists

We submit daily through the Dubai Municipality Food Safety portal. We know every field, every requirement and every common query response.

Pre-Submission Audit

Every file goes through our internal checklist before submission. We catch issues before DM does — protecting your timeline and budget.

Label Compliance Built-In

Label errors are the #1 cause of rejection. We review every label for Arabic requirements, mandatory fields and DM-specific formatting.

GCC Cross-Registration

Already registered with DM? We leverage the same technical file to register across SFDA (Saudi), Montaji and other GCC authorities.

FAQs — DM Food Product Registration

Does every food product sold in Dubai need DM registration?
Not all products require pre-market registration, but most packaged imported and locally produced food products do. DM classifies products by risk level — high-risk categories like infant formula and fortified foods require full registration; others require notification. We advise you on the correct pathway for your specific product.
How long does DM food product registration take?
Typically 4–8 weeks from a complete submission. Incomplete files or DM queries can extend this. Our pre-submission audit significantly reduces back-and-forth with the authority.
Is DM registration the same as Montaji registration?
No. Montaji is Dubai Municipality’s platform specifically for local product conformity marking — it’s primarily for consumer safety and market surveillance. DM Food Product Registration is a separate process under the Food Safety Department for food products entering the Dubai market. Some products may require both.
Can I use the same documents for DM and SFDA registration?
Many core documents overlap — CoA, ingredient lists, manufacturer details — but SFDA has additional requirements around Arabic labelling and specific product standards. We build your technical file to satisfy both authorities where possible, reducing duplication.
What happens if my product is rejected?
We review the DM rejection reason, advise on corrective action (label update, reformulation, additional documentation) and resubmit. Our pre-submission audit keeps rejection rates very low, but if it occurs we manage the resolution process.
Do you handle renewal of existing DM registrations?
Yes. We manage renewals, product variation updates (new sizes, new flavours, reformulations) and new SKU additions under existing registrations.
