Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need ISO 9001 implementation training before becoming an internal auditor?
Strongly recommended. Auditor training builds on standard knowledge — you need to know ISO 9001 well enough to identify nonconformities. We deliver implementation training separately and frequently bundle the two.
Is this an IRCA-recognized Lead Auditor course?
No — this is the INTERNAL auditor course (2 days). Lead Auditor courses (IRCA, CQI, PECB recognized) are 5 days and qualify auditors for third-party / certification body work. Different scope, different audience.
Can I audit my own department?
Internal auditors should not audit their own immediate work area — a major auditor independence issue. They can audit other departments. The course covers impartiality requirements in detail.
How often must internal audits be conducted?
At minimum, annually covering all QMS clauses (ISO 9001 Clause 9.2 requires this). Many organizations conduct higher-risk areas more frequently. Course covers risk-based audit frequency planning.
Is the certificate recognized by certification body auditors?
Yes — externally verifiable internal auditor credentials are accepted by ISO 9001 certification bodies as evidence of competent internal audit per Clause 9.2 requirements.
Can we deliver on-site?
Yes — on-site delivery is the most common option. Minimum 6 participants. Allows training to use your actual QMS as a case study for practical audit exercises.
Do you offer multi-standard internal auditor courses?
Yes — we deliver combined ISO IMS Internal Auditor courses (9001 + 14001 + 45001) for IMS organizations. 3-day combined format leverages Annex SL commonalities.
How much does ISO 9001 Internal Auditor training cost?
Cost varies by delivery mode, participants, language. Transparent per-engagement quotes. Get a free quote.
