Types of Audits We Conduct

Different audit purposes need different methodologies. Here is what each does and when you need it.

🔍

Internal Audits (1st Party)

Required by HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and BRCGS. We conduct independent internal audits on your behalf — with documented findings, root cause analysis, and corrective action recommendations ready for management review.

🤝

Supplier Audits (2nd Party)

Verify that your suppliers meet your food safety requirements before contracts get signed — or before failures happen. We audit suppliers locally and across the GCC against your specifications and recognized standards.

🎓

Pre-Certification Audits (Mock 3rd Party)

A dress rehearsal before the certification body arrives. We audit you exactly as an external auditor would — surfacing gaps so you can close them before the actual certification audit, not after.

🕵️

Mystery Audits

Covert, unannounced audits that test how your team performs when no one is watching. Critical for multi-outlet brands maintaining consistency across locations. Real operational truth, not staged performance.

📝

Pre-Inspection Readiness Audits

Specifically prepare for Dubai Municipality, ADAFSA, or Sharjah Municipality inspections. We check what they will check — documentation, monitoring records, hygiene, traceability — and fix issues before the inspector arrives.

📋

Gap Analysis Audits

Baseline audit against any food safety standard before you commit to implementation. You walk away knowing exactly what is missing, what needs to be built, and a realistic timeline to get there.

Standards & Frameworks We Audit Against

Seven food safety frameworks. One auditor team. Pick the standards your business operates under and we audit against any combination.

HACCP
Codex Alimentarius

Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points. Dubai Municipality mandatory baseline.

ISO 22000
Management System

International Food Safety Management System standard with full management system requirements.

FSSC 22000
GFSI Scheme

Food Safety System Certification — GFSI-recognized, required by major global retailers.

BRCGS
Retailer Standard

British Retail Consortium Global Standards — required by UK and European retailers.

GMP / ISO 22716
Good Manufacturing

Good Manufacturing Practices framework for food and cosmetic production facilities.

Halal Compliance
EIAC Aligned

Halal-compliant food safety auditing against EIAC-accredited certifying body requirements.

Dubai Food Code 2023
Local Regulation

Latest Dubai Municipality Food Code framework — the baseline for Foodwatch compliance.

Our Audit Methodology

A 5-stage methodology that turns audits from box-ticking into operational insight.

Audit Planning

Define scope, standards, audit type, sites, dates. Confirm documentation review list and on-site audit agenda with stakeholders.

Document Review

Pre-audit review of your HACCP manual, SOPs, monitoring records, training logs, and prerequisite programs. Identify what to focus on on-site.

On-Site Audit

Physical walk-through, staff interviews, monitoring record verification, calibration check, traceability test. Observation-based, not just paperwork.

Findings & Reporting

Detailed audit report: conformities, minor non-conformities, major non-conformities, observations. Root cause analysis for each finding. Photo evidence where appropriate.

Closeout & Follow-up

Corrective action review, evidence verification, and re-audit if requested. Audit close-out documentation suitable for management review or certification body submission.

Industries We Audit

Every food business needs audits — internal, supplier, or pre-inspection. We work across the food chain.

Why TheCorpBridge for Food Safety Audits

Audits are only valuable when the auditor finds what is actually there — not what is comfortable to find.

🎯

HABC-Accredited Lead Auditors

Our auditors hold Highfield/HABC Lead Auditor certifications. We deliver the same training to other consultancies — we set the standard, not just meet it.

🔍

Operational Reality Audits

We audit how operations actually run — not just what is written. Mystery audits, unannounced visits, staff interviews. Truth, not theatre.

📊

150+ Audit Track Record

Across restaurants, hotels, manufacturers, catering. We know which non-conformities recur most often — and the operational fixes that actually stick.

🔗

Audit → Implementation Path

If our audit reveals gaps, we can implement the fix — or hand the report to your team. One vendor, integrated outcomes, no finger-pointing between auditor and implementer.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party audits?
1st party = internal audit, conducted by or on behalf of the organization itself. 2nd party = supplier audit, conducted by a buyer on a supplier. 3rd party = independent certification body audit (for ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRCGS, etc.). We deliver 1st and 2nd party audits, and pre-certification (mock 3rd party) audits to prepare you for the real one.
What is a mystery audit?
An unannounced, covert audit where the auditor observes operations as a customer or visitor without revealing audit purpose. Used by multi-outlet brands to verify that food safety standards hold up when no one is officially watching. We can also perform mystery shopping integrated with food safety observation.
Can you audit our suppliers?
Yes. Supplier (2nd party) audits are a core service — especially valuable for hotel groups, restaurant chains, manufacturers, and importers wanting to verify supplier compliance before contracts get signed or during long-term relationships. We audit locally and across the GCC.
How long does an audit take?
Internal audit at a single site: typically 1-2 days on-site plus 2-3 days reporting. Supplier audit: 1 day per site plus reporting. Pre-certification audit: 1-3 days depending on company size. Mystery audit: 1 visit per location. Cost is mostly auditor time + travel.
Do we receive a formal report?
Yes. Every audit produces a structured report: scope, methodology, findings (conformities, minor and major non-conformities, observations), evidence references, photo annotations where useful, root cause analysis, and recommended corrective actions. Suitable for management review or external submission.
Can you audit against Dubai Municipality requirements specifically?
Yes. Our pre-inspection readiness audits are calibrated to Dubai Municipality, ADAFSA, and Sharjah Municipality inspection criteria — covering HACCP documentation, Foodwatch records, PIC requirements, hygiene standards, traceability, and Dubai Food Code 2023 alignment.
What happens after the audit if we find non-conformities?
We document each non-conformity with severity classification, root cause, and recommended corrective action. You can close them with your own team, or engage us to help implement the fixes. Either way, we offer a closeout audit to verify corrective actions were effective.
How much does an audit cost?
Cost depends on audit type, scope, sites, and standards. We quote per engagement after understanding your scope. Get a quote.
